What is redonda miller?

Redonda Miller is a physician and healthcare executive. She served as the President of The Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland from July 2016 to October 2019.

Dr. Miller received her Bachelor's degree in biology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and earned her medical degree from the University of Maryland School of Medicine. She completed her residency in internal medicine at Johns Hopkins Hospital and served as the chief resident.

Prior to becoming the president of Johns Hopkins Hospital, Dr. Miller had a long career at the hospital, serving in various roles including Senior Vice President of Medical Affairs, Vice Dean for Student Affairs at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, and Executive Vice Chair of the Department of Medicine. She was also involved in the establishment of several programs, including the Johns Hopkins Community Physicians and the Johns Hopkins Bayview Internal Medicine Residency Program.

Under Dr. Miller's leadership, The Johns Hopkins Hospital received numerous accolades and recognition for its excellence in healthcare. She was named one of Modern Healthcare's Top 25 Women in Healthcare in 2018 and 2019.

Dr. Miller stepped down as president of The Johns Hopkins Hospital in October 2019 to pursue new opportunities in healthcare leadership.
